Love Eating Carbs? Read this.

DO YOU LOVE TO EAT CARBS?

⁣If you said YES…same, girlfriend 🥞😁🍩

And my clients do, too.

But they don’t always know HOW to honor that love in a healthy way before we start working together…

Here’s what I mean…

I have a one-on-one client who used to feel so guilty about eating bread.

She never allowed herself to buy it or have it at home because she convinced herself she had no control.

But one week she decided to risk it…

And she couldn’t stop eating it.

On our weekly coaching call, she told me what was going on and was in full on “OMG I MESSED UP SO BAD AND I HAVE NO SELF-CONTROL” mode.

The tip I gave her was to ALLOW herself to eat the bread and take away all the good/bad/should/shouldn’t language.

For example, have some toast for breakfast, or have a sandwich for lunch, have a piece of bread with almond butter for a snack…let the bread become a NORMAL CHOICE.

I *could* have coached her to eat fruit or veggies instead since they’re  more nutritious, but there are so many other things to consider when it comes to making a healthy choice.

The truth is, you can eat the foods you love and still get the results you’re looking for.

Actually, I know for a fact you can get BETTER results by eating foods you love.

I’ve seen in my clients time and time again. They remove the stigma that carbs and sugar are “bad” and not only do they finally start getting results that last, they also enjoy the process a whole lot more- after all, a healthy diet is good for the body AND the soul.

Because what every food choice really comes down to is being mindful about why we’re choosing to eat that food.

There’s no “bad” food and there’s no “good” food. There’s just…food.

The three most important questions we can ask ourselves before we eat a food that was once off-limits to us, or before we eat food we once perceived as “bad” are:

  1. Why am I choosing to eat this food right now?
  2. How will I feel after I eat it?
  3. (While eating) Does this taste good enough to keep eating?

When you ask these questions and honor the answers, you’ll find that you’re able to enjoy food a lot more and your physical results will start coming along, too.
